Vendor-data disclaimer

Last updated:

Oimo shows prices, price history, comparisons and terms-of-service records for AI and cloud vendors. This page explains where that data comes from and what it cannot promise. It is part of our Terms of service.

Where the data comes from

We collect the data automatically from vendors' public sources: pricing pages, documentation, price lists and calculators, public APIs and published documents such as PDFs and terms of service. Some sources are read with the help of AI models. Price changes are checked automatically, including by AI models; changes they flag are held for staff review before publication. We record when each price was seen and from which source.

It can be wrong, late or incomplete

  • Wrong: a page can be misread, a vendor can publish a mistake, or a price can be attached to the wrong tier, region or unit.
  • Late: we read each source on a schedule, so a change appears some time after the vendor makes it, and a source that fails or changes its layout can stall until we fix it.
  • Incomplete: we do not cover every vendor, product, region or tier, and we do not see private, negotiated, volume, committed-use or enterprise prices, credits, taxes or fees that are not on the public source.
  • Comparisons line up vendors' public prices for the same resource with their units and conditions. They are not workload estimates, and they do not claim that two offers are equivalent or that you will save anything.
  • Terms of service records are copies and differences we captured to detect changes. They may miss a change or a document, and they are not legal advice. The vendor's current text is what applies to you.

Promotional prices

When a vendor publishes a promotional price, we show it labelled as promotional, with its last day ("until …") when the vendor states an end date we can read, and, when we have it, the regular list price beside it. When we cannot read an end date, the promotion is shown for as long as the vendor lists it. A promotion can end earlier than shown, or carry conditions we do not capture. In the API and webhooks, a promotional price is a row whose tier starts with promotional and carries no other label, except that a price-history row has a promotion field when we know the end date.

No affiliation or endorsement

Oimo is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any vendor whose data it shows, unless we say so explicitly. Vendor, product and model names and trademarks belong to their owners; we use them only to identify the products and prices we describe.

Check with the vendor before you buy

The vendor's own price page, quote, contract and terms always govern. Before you buy, budget or commit to anything, confirm the price and terms with the vendor.

No warranty, no liability for decisions

The data is provided "as is", without any warranty of accuracy, completeness or timeliness. To the extent the law allows, Oimo is not liable for any decision you make, or any loss you suffer, based on the data, including through the API or webhooks. The disclaimers and limitation of liability in our Terms of service apply.

Report an error

If a price, a resource or a terms record looks wrong, email support@oimo.com with the vendor, the resource, what you expected and a link to the vendor's page that shows it. Vendors who want a correction or have a question about how their data appears can write to the same address.

Open questions for review

Not part of the text: what the draft could not settle from the code. Placeholders look like [this]; sentences waiting for a decision are marked Decision needed.

  1. Showing vendors' terms text. Signed-in users can read the stored text of each captured terms-of-service version and its diffs. Confirm that reproducing vendors' documents this way is acceptable, or limit it.
  2. Corrections. Decide whether to commit to a response time for error reports and vendor requests to support@oimo.com.
  3. Affiliations. Confirm that Oimo has no partnership, reseller or referral arrangement with any vendor shown; if it does, say so here.
